WITHOUT WORDS

Hey precious faith-filled bloggy friends!!!!

This is the first time I've been on line since last Saturday and I want to tell you that I have witnessed the miraculous workings of the hand of our God first hand in the life of my precious daughter Katie!

Please know that all of your prayers and emails of prayer support and encouragement have strengthened and "propped up" this weary mothers heart and kept me focused on the greatness of our God in the face of very near death circumstances. I weep with gratitude as I type this and wish I could hug each and everyone of you my precious bloggy friends and let you know the power of your prayers and how your outpouring of love has strengthened my daughter and our family to fight the good fight of faith! I am truly without words!

At another time I will share the details of what we've walked through over the last five days but I will tell you this.............before receiving the phone call that no parent ever wants to receive on last Sat a.m. I thought I knew what Psalm 23:4 meant. But now I know IT!

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff comfort me" Psalm 23:4

Even while cratering on the inside I watched miraculous moves of the hand of God upon my daughter. I thought I knew what a miracle was.....but within the last five days I've observed first hand one miracle after another. I was told by her doctors that they've seen people who come in this unresponsive state never come out of it, remain on life support (intubation) or if they do they have brain damage or altered brain function. EVERYTHING IN ME SCREAMED NO IN JESUS NAME! We prayed over her body and spoke that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in her body and will quicken (make alive, AWAKEN) KATIE!!!! At times her doctors and the resident docs looked at us like we were nuts and thought she had brain damage when she began to breathe on her own and BEGAN TO WAKE UP AND SAY THE NAME OF JESUS, OVER AND OVER, AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN - The docs asked me "Mom is this normal behavior for Katie to be speaking the name of Jesus?" With a resounding "YES, SPEAKING HIS NAME IS NORMAL BEHAVIOR FOR HER AND OUR FAMILY!" She even sang the song "Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory" including verses by memory that I don't even know by heart and then would drift off again..................... we knew we were witnessing a miracle!

Her status began to rapidly improve quickly and moment by moment, hour by hour we stood in awe of what God was doing! There were times when I stepped into the hall for a moment and would return just a few minutes later and witness such a change I couldn't process it!! I truly "feel" that my emotions are completely unengaged today because I've been in the midst of such anointed moves of His Hand that I can't process it all in my limited human understanding. I will never be the same!!!!!

Fastforward.......Monday her doctor, with much dismay, told us that she wasn't just going to be stepped down from ICU..........SHE WAS GOING HOME TO RECOVER!!!!! WE WERE ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY....I MEAN HOW DO YOU PROCESS SUCH MOVES OF GOD!!!

We have been in some kind of Divine twilight zone...........From Saturday, litterly at death's door, unresponsive and life support to eating chocolate covered oreos and watching Evan Almighty movie last night!!! ...................Divinely surreal to say the least!!!!! Glory to God!!

We're still trying to process all of it - all that's transpired and now following doctors orders, rest, follow-up, etc. ....there are still sooooo many details of the moves of God that I'll share with you sometime in the future.!! THERE'S A HUGE TESTIMONY OUT OF THIS - ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD!!

There is one thing I want to leave you with.......Katie told me that she can see how someone can be soooo far gone in unconsciouness that they just give up and slip away, but she could hear us praying and speaking the Word over her and deep inside she found GREAT STRENGTH to fight the fight of faith to wake up!!! HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!

THE WORD OF GOD, THE MIRACULOUS HAND OF GOD AND YOUR PRAYERS BROUGHT MY KATIE BACK!!!!! WHAT A TESTIMONY TO THE POWER OF FAITH-FILLED PRAYER, THE MOUNTAIN MOVING HAND OF GOD AND HIS FAITHFULNESS !!!

MY BABY GIRL IS A WALKING MIRACLE.......TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!

We're resting in Him and resting our physical bodies today and for the days to come as He completes her recovery and strengthens her (and mom too!!) THANK YOU JESUS!

Oh, and for those who entered the giveaway...........when I get back home to AZ I'll have the drawing and send your goodies to you!!!

Much Love and Sweet Blessings!
Jackie

Praise GOD! What a wonderful testimony to the healing power of prayer, and speaking the name of JESUS! I am so happy for you and your family to have your daughter back! These types of experiences alter your lives forever. To those who say miracles don't happen today, all I can say is, you can't argue with the ones who have experienced it first hand. We had our own miracle we witnessed too. When you have time I would love for you to read the story about my grandson: http://mahoneysmusings.blogspot.com/2009/09/flight-to-miracle.html

Again, I am soooo happy to hear this wonderful blessing! Hugs!

Jackie,
I am more thankful to hear/read your words on this blog. My heart was broken for you. I know the pain of the unknown from such a tragic call. My youngest sister died at age 17 and those moments are as fresh today as they were then. The pain has lessened through the grace and love of GOD, but she is never more than a thought a way. I have prayed fervently that you receive a miracle in your daughter's body and I am crying tears of joy as I post this comment. May GOD continue to work more and more miracles each day and use her to witness to others.
Blessings, love, hugs, and much rejoicing,
andrea

Wow, that is so amazing! I love how the Lord proves over and over that He is truly sovereign and that nothing is to big for Him!

It is a scary thing to have our children out and about in the world, but I know that they take the Lord with them, wherever they go.
