Firmly Gripped!

"Hold tight to my hand and don't let go!"

I wonder how many times I spoke
those words to my little one's
so long ago?
My red headed cutie
and blue-eyed fella
my precious blessings,
oh, I  love them so!
With every breath and beat of this mothers heart
moved deeply with
passion
and
love;
protecting, defending and tightly gripping the little hands of my blessings from above.

Whether crossing the street or entering territory unknown,
I pulled them so close to my heart and grip.
That's what a loving parents heart does, you know...
drawing precious children close, nary a stumble or slip.

Our Parent does the same, dear one
as He lovingly whispers your name.
"Stay close, hold tight and worry not, with you I will always remain.
For I AM your Mighty Fortress Protector
as the storms of heartache and uncertainty blow.
Securely tucked beneath My wings, I'll hold you close and never let you go.
For before you were formed I've loved you
and held you deep within my heart.
So look at my face and securely rest knowing that from you
I'll never depart".

"Do not fear my precious one,
trust Me and do not fret.
Tho' your path is not clearly seen
I'll order your every step.
You are the apple of my eye
my precious one before foundations named.
Remain in Me secure and firmly gripped
for your victory I've already claimed".

"Don't panic.  I am with you.  There's no need to fear for I'm your God.  I'll give you strength.  I'll help you.
I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you"
Isaiah 41:10 Msg.

May you sense the comfort of His Hand firmly gripping you this day and always!

Sweet Blessings!

I would not want to navigate this life, without clinging to the hand of the one that authored the map!!

Have a Marvelous Monday, my sister in Christ!!

Jackie,
This portion of Scripture is so very close to my heart as a parent. Our son was just a little guy and had to have some baby-teeth pulled. The dentist wouldn't allow me or my husband to go back with him for the procedure. He was afraid and we were afraid for him. So I had hand written on a little slip of paper, Isaiah 41:10 and 41:13 and attached a little 'loop' of yarn. He slipped the little loop over a finger in his right hand and tightly held the verse in his palm. The dentist asked him what he was holding and he shared the verse and told them that although his mommy and daddy couldn't be with him God was holding him in His right hand.
Our son is nearly 24 yrs. old today and he still remembers that tiny piece of paper and that His heavenly Father held him through that time.
You are so right Jackie. Our loving Parent IS our Mighty Fortress and Protector and holds us securely in His right hand.
Thank you for the beautiful reminder.

Jackie, after a huge spiritual victory in my inner life last week, the past couple of days have been challenging as the old nature tries to rear its ugly head. Isaiah 41:10 says it all. Thanks for the reminder! Great post my friend!

Oh, Jackie! It is apparent God's beloved children were struggling recently and many received the same loving affirmation--from each other and from Him!

A wonderful message!

My mom always teases me. Now that I am a "grown man" so to say. She likes to point out how I would always say to her, "hold me momma, hold me". Especially after my dad passed away when I was eight. How true those words were and still are today. We all need someone to hold us! Thanks for the reminder! I gotta run home now and hold two little boys!

Written so beautifully. I need to cling to what you have written. Believe it to be true.
We have had tragedy in our home and most days it is hard to see the fingerprints of God.

My two young children are not beyond the holding of my hand in a parking lot. I will think of my Father's grip the next time I grip them.

Beautiful picture you've painted with your words.

You are so right. God is always there taking care of us.

I was just reading your profile and I love this quote you have there. "When you can't see the hand of God, trust the heart of God!" Dr. Michael Maiden, Sr. Pastor - Church for the Nations, Phoenix, AZ

In the last couple weeks God has been showing me this truth over and over. When I can't see or don't understand what God is doing, I just need to trust his character and know that He is taking care of it. Thanks for another reminder.

Have a great day!

Awe...I love you so much. You were and always are there for me Mom...words cannot express how truly thankful I am for you and Dad never letting me go. I may have stumbled and have had some bumps and bruises along the way, but to GOD be the Glory for two amazingingly wonderful praying parents, I've made it through the tough times...only because of ... See Moreyou guys. I love you more than all of the fish in the sea. Thank you for your "Firm Grip" on my heart and my life. Without you two, I would be nothing. I love you so much. This poem is the most beautiful poem that I have ever read and it truly touched and blessed me. Thank you. Dont stop now...just keep writing what God puts on your heart Mom. You're the very, very best. Love you so much- Katie
