Today's Quick Thought! Forgiveness Anyone?

"He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself; for every man has need to be forgiven"......Thomas Fuller, author

Therefore, as God's chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and
 FORGIVE WHATEVER GRIEVANCES
YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST ONE ANOTHER.
FORGIVE as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love.....
Colossians 3:12-14 8 (emphasis added)

Choosing to forgive the one who hurt you is a choice to release your heart unto freedom.  We don't forgive based upon our feelings......We forgive based upon our faith in Him and His faithfulness to heal our broken heart and emotions as we are obedient to forgive.

May our life's journey be traveled upon unbroken bridges of forgiveness and love through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Love and Sweet Blessings!

Jackie,
We know in this world there are those who are unkind, not gentle and those who lack compassion. I have trouble comprehending all of this. What I do know, as you my friend also know, is that WE can forgive others as Christ forgives us.
Thank you my friend for sharing this powerful post. Thank you for posting what is true and what not only non-believers need, but also what many believers need too. Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!
Your sister in Christ,
Bren

I learned Forgiveness the HARD way.. but it is something I have never forgotten.... Forgiving them, gave me my life back........ Just like the Father God to ask us to do something so hard but then turns that into incredible blessings for us...... HE is so God.....

Beautiful!
I LOVE forgiveness (as strange as it sounds). Forgiveness sets us free and releases us into God's full healing. Without it, bitter seeds sprout and grow and spread.
Great post Jackie!!

I love the thought of God's forgiveness as a gift that He gave us first and we give to others.

Hope all is well by you. Have a great weekend,
Always praying,
